RAPFLEX 10 is ready to use, easy to apply, special cement, selected aggregates, fibers and additives based.
Uses
• Rapid concrete floor repairs in industries and highways. Can be placed into service in as little as 2 hours for standard rubber tire traffic depending on temperature;
• Fix machinery and equipments, allowing extremely rapid maintenance stopping
• Expansion joint rebuilds;
• Repairs in concretes in industrial areas subjected to the presence of acids (pH>3.5), fats, oils, sulfates and clean agents;
• Can be painted in 24 hours.
Limitations
• Do not use when the substrate temperature is or will be in the next 24 hours below 35°F or above 90°F;
• For applications with temperatures below 35°F, consults the Bautech’s Technical Department.
Substrate Preparation
• All substrate must be structurally sound, solid, rough, clean and free of any substances which may avoid or reduce adhesion. Concrete must be at least 7 days old;
• All unsound concrete should be removed and the surface roughened to a minimum of 2” profile amplitude; remove all laitance till the aggregate is found;
• The concrete substrate should be cleaned with water. Remove all extra water prior to application.
Rapflex Preparation
• Of tools and utensils;
• Mix each 55 lb bag of RAPFLEX 10 in 3 Q of clean water. In old and contaminated substrates change the water for 3 Q of additive RAPFLEX;
• Don’t use less than one bag each time;
• Mix time: 3 - 4 minutes;
• Pot life: 30 minutes at 70°F or 15 minutes at 85°F.
Placement
• Place the RAPFLEX 10 immediately after mixing. Work the material firmly into the sides and bottom to eliminate air pockets and assure maximum bond;
• Where practical, work from one side to the other and screed to the level of the surrounding concrete, then trowel or surface treats.
Curing
• After the initial set, keep the surface moist and covered with plastic or wet bags for, at least 1h30min;
• The curing products used for conventional concretes are suitable for RAPFLEX 10.
Thickness and Joints
• Minimum thickness: 2”;
• Distance between joints: 6.6 feet.
Liberation
• In as little as 2 hours for standard rubber tire traffic, depending on temperature;
• For any type of paint job, 24 hours after the placement.
